OSHA mandates safety training for all workers on construction or demolition sites that require a Construction Super, Site Safety Manager, Site Safety Coordinator, Concrete Safety Manager, or Competent Person. OSHA 30‑Hour Construction
- Who it’s for: Supervisors, foremen, or Construction workers
- Curriculum: All topics from more on cranes, steel structures, confined spaces, fire safety, ergonomics, and OSHA’s Focus Four in depth
- Format: In Person includes quizzes and final exam, similar card process
- Cost: $ 250
NY State- or Local-Specific Training
Some states (like New York) require additional training paths—for instance, combining OSHA 10 or 30 courses fulfills NYC’s Site Safety Training (SST) card requirements under Local Law 196 .
How to Get Started
- Decide whether you need the 10‑Hour (for entry-level) or 30‑Hour
- Register & complete the modules and pass required quizzes and the final exam.
- Print/download your certificate immediately, and wait for the DOL OSHA card to arrive by mail (1–2 weeks).
Additional Mandatory Training
OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1926) mandate specific training for hazards common in construction—like cranes, excavation, scaffolding, etc.—even beyond Outreach Training . For instance, crane operators must be certified under Subpart CC .
